Re: Not about Suzuki; it's about the 2013 Accord
I saw the pictures of the new Accord. It seems to be a step in the right direction, as the styling has gone from truly ugly to just "bleh". My experience with Accords i guess goes against the tide. I owned three different Accords, and all three were absolute pieces of crap. LOTS of problem...

Re: fuel consumption while braking with engine
All modern cars have DFCO(deceleration fuel cut-off). When you are off the throttle, and the RPMS are above idle, the fuel injectors cut off all fuel.

Re: 2012 Kizashi CVT issues
The manual calls for a 'fluid deterioration check' at 45K. Similar to what the Caliber i used to have called for at 60K. I would let the dealer do this, and to change the CVT tranny fluid if needed. That way, if they fuck it up, they can eat then new tranny. The CVT is petty picky about the fluid a...

Re: 2012 Kizashi CVT issues
The new "CVT8" transmission has 2 model number designatiuons, the JF016E and the JF017E. I would venture to say one is for the 2.0-2.5 liter class while the other is the 2.6-3.5 liter unit. Major difference being a more robust belt to handle the additional torque of the larger engine. That...

Re: 2012 Kizashi CVT issues
IIRC, the 2.5 Altima uses the JF011E and the 3.5 uses the JF010E
MNSLS, could be, OR they may have develeped a new unit. Since Nissan owns JATCO, they might keep a new design for themselves for a few years. I will look into it and see what i can find.

Re: 2012 Kizashi CVT issues
Shinyapgh, I assume your car is at Wright? Never been a fan of them myself, for reasons like this. First of all, the CVT that is in your car is a JATCO JF011E. Suzuki does not make this transmission, they purchase it from JATCO. JATCO was a spinoff from NIssan, and ALL Nissans use JATCO transmission...

Yep, and i have asked Suzuki about that. They claim it is normal. Both the transmissions I have had did it.

Re: Tips on driving a manual transmission car?
Yep, nuke 'em Ronzuki, I will no longer buy a Dell computer because they moved their"tech support" to India. I put "tech support" in quotations, because it a friggin joke. I called them with an issue on a new Dell, and after 20 minutes of very frustration conversation, i determin...
