Re: Dealer conducting tests on Tires

I had mine in last weekend for state inspection. My rears were starting to wear on the inside. The dealer is going to contact Suzuki and try to get me 2 new tires and an alignment under my warranty. My car just turned 19K miles. I will post back once I receive some kind of determination. He took pic...

For ppl with high mpg. What psi r ppl filling the stock tires at? And ehat is normal mixed driving? What proportion is highway? And highway at what cruisevspeed? In certain situations it might not do well but for every person who's getting poor mileage there are multiple others who are getting at o...

Re: MPG

Blackbelt., I just saw a post you made on a website new to me called clean mpg. You talked about fuel economy with a cvt trans. What is your mpg on the kizashi averaging? Are you the person getting 40mpg? If so, how do you keep this car above 5-12 mpg while accelerating? Also around town it can be ...

Re: MPG

I almost always use regular. The car is designed to use it, and it runs fine on it. I have tried using both mid and premium, and so zero difference in overall fuel economy, trying to keep the driving conditions as close to consistent as possible. If the temp is going to be in the 80's and 90's, and ...

Re: MPG

The fuel gauge, like most all these days, is not linear. 1/4 tank gone on the gauge may not equal 1/4 of the tank capacity being used. Most cars today have a very small speedometer error, so i tend to take the leap of faith that the trip odo's are correct. There is a lot less involved in tracking mi...

Re: MPG

Very well said Ehibb034! I feel the same way. I have been an enthusiast all my life. I was modifying and drag racing a 4 cylinder 83 VW GTi when i was the only 4 banger at the track! (embarrassed a lot of V8's too...LOL). I have owned over 90 vehicles so far. I like cars!!! I have always preferred s...

Re: About to buy a kizashi...advice needed

Congrats on your purchase and best of luck with the new Kizzy. Don't put a lot of faith in the average MPG display numbers, they tend to be 1-2 MPG optimistic. That said, you will still be able to get over 30 with basic hypermiling techniques. If you use the manual mode, you can keep the car in the ...

Re: About to buy a kizashi...advice needed

I guess the deal depends on how much extra they are building into your trade. Some more details about that would help. I have an AWD "S" and have no problems getting into the 30's with my MPG. The Kizzy responds well to some basic hypermiling techniques, and using a few more advanced ones ...

Re: MPG

If you are in stop and go traffic, speeding from light to light, then 16 is possible. It would have to be a LOT of traffic and you would have to be very heavy on the go pedal to get it down that far. Sounds like you may have something else going on with your Kizzy.

Re: MPG

I have been ocd about tire pressure, keeping it at 40. Yesterday went for a highway drive, cruise control at 70 mph for about 60 miles, average mpg on dash up to 29.7 (still less than what other members getting on highway), but plummets right after i get off highway Do not rely on the display. Calc...
