My Suzuki replacement pedal box assembly failed badly , had to get the fractures sorted and significantly strengthened and its the best its ever been.

So my Suzuki replacement pedal bracket/box has failed.... spot welds coming apart and fractures :x the main support bracket thats attached to the steering column was bending more and more till pedal was only working while fully depressed to the carpet , bracket removed and significantly strengthened...

I highly doubt it's an anti-theft matter. For safety and legal reasons, vehicle anti-theft systems do not shut down an engine while in operation. Took the car in today and can confirm new bracket and box fitted, service manager showed me the new re located bracket, pedal box still flexes tho and the service manager wasnt that impressed at all with that.

I spoke to my local dealer today and it seems their diagnosis needs further investigation, part of the original broken bracket was left behind which is what they saw and the fact the box was 'flexing' led to their conclusion, they made further enquiries with another service manager who had their wiv...

So ive got the car home and it averaged 6.2lt per 100km of 95 oct pretty happy with that , quick look in the manual says 91. Takes some time to get used to the extra 'H' in the manual especially quick downshifts around and up hills but all good, not much throw or take up on the clutch im guessing th...
