Re: apex kizashi

I agree: Suzuki has a real performance image in motorcycles and marine engines that hasn't translated into their automobiles: a halo car like the APEX would go a long way to put Suzuki on the map as a serious automotive brand. I feel that the old GM alliance has hurt Suzuki's profile immeasurably in...

Re: Having major probelm with my Kizzy

That transmission is the same unit used in the Nissan Altima and Suburu Legacy and Outback, and has been reliable in those applications. I tend to suspect that the transmission computer programming is the root of the problem, NOT mechanical failure. I know that Suzuki did a recall to re-flash the tr...

Re: Kizashi Paint Chip Problem !!!!

Thanks for the info: I registered my issue with Suzuki America on the phone about a month ago, and they were very pleasant. When I showed the damage to the service manager at Harte, he agreed that there was a problem, and took pictures of the damage. At that time, I requested a loaner for when the w...

I've seen two Kizashi (s) on the road since I bought mine: one on I-91 in West Springfield with Vermont plates, and one in CT on I-84. I am still amazed that this car hasn't become a big hit for Suzuki...I get admiring questions all the time about mine.

Re: Kizashi Paint Chip Problem !!!!

I wonder if Toddashi has his car at Harte Nissan-Suzuki in Hartford, where I bought my car. The Suzuki factory rep is going to take a look at my car in June 10th to have the front-end paint chips repaired. The situation has gotten a lot worse in the past few weeks, and the front-end is ready for a r...

Re: Sold Kizashi

A good article: I would suggest that it be placed in a separate thread, as it really shouldn't be buried in this one!

Re: Should I buy a Kizashi? General Q's

One thing about a Kizashi CVT is that it is impossibly to drive any way but smoothly from a stop: it NEVER jerks, and it's very easy to modulate the throttle.

Re: Should I buy a Kizashi? General Q's

I find that my gas mileage is very dependent on my driving style. On a previous trip to Boston on the Mass Pike, I ran like a demon: 85+ mph all the way (90 miles) I managed only about 23.5 MPG on that trip. Yesterday, I made the same trip with the cruise control set at 70 MPH, and managed 29 MPG in...
