Re: After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

Over three years since I started this discussion and nine years since returning the Kizashi. I am currently leasing our second BMX X1 which is the first vehicle I have driven since then that has the same fun-to-drive quality in a package about the same size. Yes it's a crossover. I had the automatic...

Re: Kizashi Replacement

I do like the Camry's styling, particularly at the rear. Enjoy the more refined and roominess. Some day there will be another Kizashi type car - who knows.

Re: After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

The upcoming next-gen Mazda6 seems promising, although it’s some time off. The current generation is a bit larger on the outside than the Kizashi, so it’s safe to assume the new one will be, too, in case exterior size similar to the Kizashi is important. ... I went from the Kizashi to the current g...

Re: Happy New Year

Happy New Year. Congrats on the milestone.
If you're replacing the bulbs in January, you may want to wear an extra layer...as I'm sure you know what that task entails.

Re: Traded in the Kizashi

I also considered the IS as a next-step from the Kizashi, but besides the fuel economy and the high-octane requirement, rear seat passenger space seemed tight. I often carpooled and the Kiz provided good rear space and ingress/egress. I think the dimensions of the Kizashi contributed to how it felt ...

Re: After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

After thinking about this a bit, I'd have to say there's really nothing anymore wrong w/ Mazda than any other brand. Their reliability is way up there on the charts. The styling is nice and the interior is very Kizashi like. ...Years ago I test drove a used 2013 Mazda 6 for my daughter and really l...

Re: After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

I would go for a Kia Stinger... I can see that. The fact that there aren't five on every block helps. As far as price, if it seems a bit high, I'll compare to my 2011 SLS AWD fully loaded, which listed at just under $30k. Around the high end of midsize cars of the time, and adjusted for inflation, ...

Re: How to Polish Off Mild UV Damage from Headlights

Thanks for the great writeup.
UV haze on older cars is such a sad, inevitable sign of age.
The appearance reminds me of an old person's toenails.

After Kizashi - What New Vehicle?

Been six years since I last drove my 2011 SLS, and still remember it fondly as possibly my favorite ride. Have any of you moved to something that compares to the overall Kiz experience? What new vehicle today compares best?
