The built-in navigation is also a Garmin unit. Either way though, I wouldn't rely on a GPS unit's speed data for accuracy.MadocOwain wrote:No, I don't have the built-in navigation unit. I used a Garmin mounted on my dash.

Re: TSB SI-0007 WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECS
If you were here in the midwest, I would have recommended Steve at Ray Suzuki (Chevrolet). He knows all about the alignment issue and how to best correct it. But even he said it doesn't stay aligned for long, and rapid tire wear can be an issue.: I wish I had access to an experienced Suzuki mechani...

Re: New Tire Suggestions
Does anyone have any experience with Michelins? I'm thinking about getting either the Pilot Sport A/S 3 or the Primacy MXM4's.

I'm not sure I'm following... krell, are both posts referring to your car or are they just examples from other forums?

Re: Speedometer vs. AVG MPH computer calculation
GPS unit that shows MPH Are you referring to the navigation unit? If so, I wouldn't rely on the speed data it shows as it can be +/- several mph off from what you're actually travelling at. For example, at times I've had it show that I was going 5mph when I was actually at a standstill in traffic :?

Re: TSB SI-0007 WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECS
I should mention that I'm also experiencing tire wear on the inside of the tires, which on confirmation from the alignment tech stems from the car's alignment. The tech pretty much said that with the way the car's alignment is setup, the rear tires are going to wear a lot more on the inside than the...

Headlights Dimming/Brightening
Anyone else notice their headlights dimming/getting brighter when driving around? After driving around at night recently I noticed the headlights would dim a bit when hitting the brakes and would then subsequently brighten when accelerating from a stop sign, for example. I also noticed dimming anyti...

Re: Rough idle
To add to the anecdotes, my idle RPM's hover around ~550 while in 'D'...for example, when waiting at a stoplight. This is within 2-3 minutes after starting up the car first thing in the morning and driving down the street to go to work. I've also noticed a strange shudder that you can feel through t...

Auto Gear Shifter Feels "Crunchy"
I remember there being someone mentioning before that something in their auto-trans gear shifter broke when they tried shifting to or from 'D', but I can't seem to find the thread. Anyway, I think I might be experiencing the same problem now. Whenever I shift the car from 'D' into 'P', the shifter f...

Re: TSB SI-0007 WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECS
An update on my situation: So I went to the alignment shop that I mentioned earlier...the one where they measure alignments the old-school way. I told them about how I had the car aligned over a year ago and how it hasn't driven the same way since...that it's very sensitive to road irregularities. I...
