I have the same car, same color etc. and have not had this happen. I have had the car sense February 2010.

This is the first day we have had 75 degrees in 271 days. AC is not a concern. PS The heater does work very well.

Platinum Silver Metallic SLS with no chips, yet. Build date is October 2009. I have requested touch-up paint be custom mixed for the car from a company in California that claim they can match any color or paint. We'll see when I receive it. If good, I'll post the info. here. Just a thought, when parking, tilt your right side mirror down and watch the curb/tire relationship. Also, about repairing damaged rims. You can have "custom paint" mixed at a good paint shop that will match the wheels. It cost about $35 a half pint but last a long time. To repair a small ...

Mine also was loose so I just drilled two additional holes for self tapping stainless steel screws and secured the bottom of the plate to the trunk lid. Place some good sealent in all the holes and also a strip of door rubber under the plate to stop it from vibrating when you close the trunk. This w...
