More Kizashis popping up
In the past month I have seen 3 new Kizashis in my city (and I live in a small city of 85,000). Just this morning I saw a guy waiting on a red light with a brand new red Kiz. I was up in the drivethru at McD's and was waiting for my Kiz to catch his eye, as I could tell this guy was stoked to be dri...

Re: RECALLL!!!!! PULLEYS
Ehy for the fwd vehicles here or only me. I just wanted this color and there were not any awd there for the month. I'm just saying I felt a little difference from the pulley. Jeez everyone is jumping down thoarts here. Sorry, I think the lag is a sensitive issue for us Kizashi owners is al l. It's ...

Re: RECALLL!!!!! PULLEYS
You do realize us AWD owners can choose to drive in FWD, don't you?
I get this update next weekend, I will report any change in performance... but I expect none.

Re: Gas and Ethanol Content
Out of curiosity, I decided to drive as conservative as possible for 48 hours to see what kind of efficiency my Kiz could get on 87 octane, no ethanol. This is city driving only, with plenty of stops at long lights, etc. I never let the RPM get over 3,000 when accelerating and drove no more than 5 m...

Re: Sluggish Kizashi
Unless there is a Kizashi hybrid offered in Canada that we are not aware of, no way is that rating anywhere close to accurate. Everything I have seen on the Kiz is around 32/23. The 32+ is very reachable on the interstate, but I would have to drive extremely conservative to pull of 23 in the city. I...

Re: maintenance
:) My dealer recommends every 5,000 miles or 6 months for Mobil 1 synthetic 5w- 30. I also always replace the filter with a Suzuki OEM. I have 12,600 miles and the car has no problems. Oil does not ware out, it just gets dirty and has acids in it. Jerry 2010 SLS - 1977 Mercedes-Benz 280SL, 1983 BMW...

Re: ECU Question: Why Piggy-back, Not Re-flash?
Actually, most car companies do a pretty decent job - I'm actually surprised this much improvement is possible. In my "previous life" with Toyotas, it was common knowledge that chips/piggybacks/reflash were wasted money unless you had a ton of mods (like superchargers, etc) that clearly p...

Re: Sluggish Kizashi
I agree 100% with the Freak about gladly sacrificing a few mpg to hear the engine rev and push the Kiz to it's limits. I've tried driving like a gramma and it's simply not in my DNA. lol As far as Suzuki bragging up the CVT for fuel efficiency, they should have to have a disclaimer that you can't fl...

Re: ECU Question: Why Piggy-back, Not Re-flash?
It's not shocking to find out that a car company didn't tune the engine to get the max performance from an engine, but the improvements would have to be rather drastic and well documented before I would consider investing that much money.
Good info to have though... keep it coming!

Re: Feelings on stock rims and tires?
While I didn't hate my stock wheels, they didn't do much for me either so like yourself I went to tirerack and picked out my own. I went with the ASA AR1 bright silver to give me some good contrast and match the silver trim on the rest of the car. I wanted to be able to see more behind the wheel as ...
