Re: What is it?
What it is, I will find out on Thursday, but the head of that bolt sure looks to me as being heavy duty. Measuring the size of the threads at the bottom of the head of the bolt, it is appx. 1/2 inch in diameter.. Will be taking it real easy till this has been repaired.

Re: What is it?
Ok, I did find out where the head of that bolt came from. Not a very good picture, but maybe someone can tell me whether the engine is gonna fall out or something . There is a corresponding bolt (no rust) on passenger side of car.

Re: What is it?
It appears to be rust. In fact on the floor around where I found the bolt head it was orange also.

What is it?
I found a top half of a relatively large bolt under my Kizashi. It was laying on the garage floor just under the left front of the grill on the bumper. As nothing is ever parked there or could have come from something else, it has to be something from the car (I would think). I did glance under the ...

Re: 'Suggestions' from dealer
Well, ESPECIALLY after reading the cost of parts, I decided to take another look at what I had. I did manage to get it reinstalled, although I suppose if I hit something with it again, the strake is a gonner. If that happens, I will probably try to do as Marcov71 suggests and put some real mud flaps...

Re: 'Suggestions' from dealer
Actually there is two screws that hold it in place the one on the end (you can see it sticking out in the picture) and one on the other end that would screw into the plastic of the side body skirt. And that is where the problem is. That plastic is gone. So if I screwed that strake (thanks for correc...

Re: 'Suggestions' from dealer
Ok. If you look you can see the mud flap laying on the ground. Above it is where it attaches to (as I just found out) the passenger side body skirt. And that is why the dealer said we are talking about paint plus the parts. I really think I am talking a few hundred dollars if I fix it.

'Suggestions' from dealer
Went in to dealer to have a oil change and tire rotation. Also to check damage under car. They did the oil change and tire rotation, but suggested that next time I do the fuel injection and emission system service for a measly $175. I said yeah sure (need to get some Techron from Costco). They also ...
