Re: Maintenance questions
1) You have to change the oil when it gets bad. When is that exactly is not easy to answer. You could send your oil for analysis; those with large diesel trucks that require a lot of oil do that. Some cars have electronic systems that keep track of how hard the engine is working, and estimate how so...

According to the manual, to get the tensioner out, one would need to drain the coolant and remove the wate...

Re: maintenance
It is a good idea to change oil more often on a new engine, as there are bound to be wear products getting into the oil, ‘shavings’; it feels good to get them out. $23.86 plus $9.32 shipping form an Internet retailer (drop shipped from the WIX). I haven't seen these local yet.
If you can get Suzuki filters below $40, definitely go with Suzuki filters.

Re: Air Filter
I put the WIX filter in my Kizashi. The filter fits all right. Replacing it is very easy, the air box is on top, and there are just two clamps. I also used this opportunity to remove sand and dried twigs from the bottom of the air box with a hose of a vacuum cleaner. The WIX 49008 filter that I got ...

High speed avoidance
I was one third into a lane change at 65 MPH when another car started to move into the same lane unexpectedly. The other motorist did not see me and was moving into the lane fast. Without employing brakes I executed the first half of the standard emergency avoidance maneuver. The car leaned quite a ...
