got a 2010. manufactured date5/10 and now got 23,000 and drive 80mph on interstate most of the time, with some triple digit blasts and get 27-29.5 mpg. if I get non ethanol gas, better mileage.
still love it.

OK, so I just came back from the mechanic with a fix to what I believe is the exact same problem you guys are having. A quick recap of my experience: I got the Check Engine light a few times and every time I checked it out it was with the Evap. Emission Purge Control Valve. Being a bit lazy I let it go but every so often the check engine light would pop back up and the car would have the "juddering" at around 2000 RPM, particularly when light throttle was applied (or I was in cruise control). After some time passed, the check engine would disappear. Fast forward a few weeks and the judders got worse. I thought it had to do with the oil system, since I had added a "high-performance/long-lasting oil" but never bothered changing the filter out on a more frequent basis (the two oil changes were after 9000 and 8000 miles driven since the last service and always had degraded oil coming out). An engine oil flush did not solve the problem. Went to my trusty mechanic and the did a full diagnosis of the purge valve system. It took them a bit, but they found that the cables were damaged (both the positive and negative leads, in different positions along the harness), causing the valve to stay in the closed position. In repairing the cables, they disconnected the harness to the computer and had to reprogram the throttle. In any case, this solved my problem (Check Engine Light and Engine judders at 2000rpm).

TL;DR: PCV problem code was due to internally broken cables, repaired wiring, problem gone.

So ignoring the spam, does anyone know how many CVT failures have occurred? Assuming these numbers are even published anywhere.
