how many miles?, u need to do the drive it like u stole it routine also, it will learn better pick up, also u have to remember it has no gears needs to learn how u need to take off so putting your foot into floor will help this
This is 100% not true. I have had my kiz for 6K miles and I drive harder than anyone I know. If I'm at the front of the pack at a red light, I'm flooring it off the line every time. The initial acceleration is absolutely no different then the day I drove it off the lot. If you look up the CVT model you will find out why Suzuki chose to regulate the initial acceleration, it simply can't handle the load. Why else would a company want to their product to have that much of a lag off the line of it wasn't completely necessary?chevydually wrote:the response will improve its a learning car so need to drive it like u stole it to help improve that and then u will see an improvement
My money says a simple mod chip would make a night-and-day difference, I'm just curious how long the CVT would last.

Same thing happened to me in my first week driving it. I pulled out into a busy street trying to "shoot the gap" and about pissed myself. You have to learn not to risk it if it's going to be close. My issue is, what happens if you see someone coming at you and you need to get out of the way? Those 10 airbags will come in handy in that scenario.Metatrox wrote:I totally agree! Just yesterday I pulled out across traffic at an intersection and I was tensing up because the Kizzy just wouldn't go!! I was scared. Really wish it just had normal power in the start.

I'M SURE TO CHIP WILL GREATLY CURE THIS RESPONSE AS LONG AS IT DOESNT GET CVT BOND UP TO FAST TO CAUSE ISSUES
Dude... the :learning transmission" does not exist, except in customer's mind when the salesman wants to make a buck and switch them to a lwoer-mileage car, like a 2011 Fusion instead of a 2010, so that the car hasn't "learned" its new driver yet.
bunch of BS... hope nobody fell for that...
and no I don't use it but my managers do upon occasion.

I've never even heard of that lol
2005 Pontiac GTO - 375 rwhp
2001 Ford Ranger XLT - Stock w/ 6 inch lift

Maybe we can get the guy that spray painted his brand new Kiz to try the mod chip out... if he's got the sack to spray paint a brand new car, I'm guessing he wouldn't have a problem swapping chips out under the hood. lol

I call "horse poo" on that, assuming I correctly understood your post.chevydually wrote:the learn process in trans is to set chain as car is driven even according to computers these trans self teach internally how to improve themselves weater its performance or wear and tear who knows but when u go to set a new cvt up there procedures go threw a learn mode procedure and adapts from there
