lol...yeah, that's what I'm starting to think. If I don't have any driving or handling issues, which I haven't since this guy did the last one, and it's gonna eat tires anyway it appears so why bother right?

AND I pound the whee-snot outta mine, bounding at high velocity down most-any-surfaced "road". I laugh when I hit a particularly vicious deformity, thinking 'alignment on the fly'.....
The two new-to-me Contis I mounted on the rear yesterday are still holding air, and they worked pretty good on the wet / gravelly / muddy / sloshy / heaved paved roads I maniac-ed still I tested them on.

The Conti's I 'found' are run-flats; serendipitous, ay?
(Except they weigh 28lb each).
I tested a tank of 91 octane non-ethanol, and returned 27.1 MPG.
Not, IMO, worth it.
While the K-car was up getting its new shoes I took a look at the not-right rear shocks, and (stunningly) found them still fairly clean, and not leaking!

Funny. I've had my 2011 SLS for over 3 years and had 33K on clock when I bought it. It has 79K plus now. I replaced the Dunlops at 45K (that's not a mis-print) and had it aligned. Never aligned again. So I got 45K out of the stock tires, and there's 35K on my Conti's with a boat load of tread left and the wear totally even. I rotate them when I change the oil which is about every 5K. While don't drive like WESHOOT2, I don't drive like my grandmother either.

I was thinking about how I drive as I drove back from lunch right now.
I drive often in a criminal anti-social manner.
I'm not a road-rage type, but I may get physically close to other traffic, not as intimidation, but simply to use the space.
Sometimes I go wildly inappropriately fast (I mean reallyreally fast), but I try to save those moments for less-traveled roads so prevalent in this region.
I look for, and like getting air.
I pick my battles.
Sometimes I just cruise.......but then the wild hair strikes and I'm compelled to push the accelerator pedal to the floor, and hold it there.......
The leaves, and views, are currently stunning.
