As winter approaches, I miss my Kizashi more and more! What a great car she was.

I purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT with 145,000 km (4x4 and winter tires) for about $4500.

It should get me through a few winters but it won't be nearly as enjoyable for obvious reasons.

How's life with the Mustang?

She's in an induced coma for now but the summer/fall was great. I made the mistake of purchasing the extended warranty and as a result limited myself on what mods I could install. Unless I decide to forfeit the cash and void my warranty.

Unfortunately, someone rear ended me after 3 weeks of owning the car (13k of damage). Although the repairs were done well, the car has no resale value anymore No diminished value waiver in Ontario.

That's sucks that the Mustang got rear-ended. What all needed to be fixed on it?

A small part of me feels elated because it wasn't your old Kizashi that got hit though. Is that messed up?

The tail lights, bumper, trunk lid and spoiler had to be replaced. The tail lights are $1300 each

Holy buckets, the tail lights alone were 20% the cost of the repairs! Did you get the same ones or new ones?

That's pretty good that nothing had to be replaced with the exhaust.

OEM tail lights. Considering that it was a Ford F350 that hit me (low speed), the damage was minor. Since the truck sits so high it basically plowed into my trunk lid.

So last spring, after owning my Kiz for about 4 years, a couple dings, some unsightly paint damage on front fender from a grocery cart, a broken drivers seat repaired under warranty, scuffed rims, 2 sets of tires.......I DECIDED TO KEEP IT AND CONTINUE DRIVING IT AND BOUGHT MY DREAM CAR....VETTE!! I had always dreamed of owning a corvette, so I use the Kiz as my daily driver (especially since it snows here) and drive my vette on weekends. My kiz is roughed up, but it's still a great car to drive and dependable. I've traveled for businees, and every time I've rented a car (camrys, maximas, malibus, etc.), I've always came back home to the airport liking my Kiz better. It fits me like glove, rides good, decent in snow with the AWD, and I still like the bluetooth which works great with my phone.

My Kizashi and C6 Corvette are good friends

Don't remind me To bad I didn't take the same path and kept the car. This truck is killing me with repairs.

ok so the exploder is holding true to its name. I want my Kizashi back :'(

I would trade this POS and pay extra for another but can't afford two car loans right now.
