Anyone tried routing wire via roofliner/A-pillar/glovecom?
Thinking of installing a windshield mounted device and would like to rid the wires. has anyone had experience with routing the wire via roofliner across, down a-pillar, and through the bottom of the glove compartment, into the passenger seatwell? I'll likely connect to the cig socket from there

No, but I have an aftermarket rearview camera I want to install and want to hide the wires, so that route is similar to what I was thinking.

I have a radar detector that I installed the same way. I ran the wire through roofliner and there is a rubber flap thingie along the whole A pillar, I hid my wire in there. I would recommend tap into the fuse box under the dashboard though instead of using the cig lighter.
Northernstar can you elaborate on how you achieved this? Ran through roofliner by simply tugging in on the edge of the windshield or? Ran it down the rubber thing of A-pillar, do you mean along the door trim? Did you need to take A-pillar off for this? If so, anything to watch out for? The wire down the rubber part wont interfer with door closing?

Yeah, just tug the wire along the edge of the windshield and the roofliner. There is a small space for the wire to run along and be invisible. I will take a pic of the wiring later today. It's really hard to explain lol.
Hi,
When you get the chance, can you tell me the sequence of installation? I am assuming:
1. Pull rubber covering off chasis along the door rim
2. Remove a-pillar covering (by just sliding and pulling?)
3. Route wire along top a-pillar then close the covering
4. Route wire along door rim then cover back with rubber
No screw driver or major dissembly required?

Was busy for the last couple of days so didn't get around taking pics
So here's basically how I run my wire
Let me know if you have any questions~~

Thank you. Tis is very helpful. So ou didn't even take the rubber flap off, instead you just tucked the wire in? I assume the wire will be squished when the door closes upon the rubber flap, but I guess that'd still work

yup, just tuck the wire in. I have had this setup for quite a few years now so I assume the wire didn't get squished by the door lol.
