Re: Where to get Kizashi parts these days?

Sounds like the dealer is just too lazy to bother ordering it. I experienced similar treatment when Toyota shut down Daihatsu locally and certain Toyota dealers were appointed as Daihatsu part outlets. Some of the appointed dealers claimed they couldn't get the parts and needed to be really pushed t...

Re: How to change manual transmission fluid

The factory spec is 2.5 litres - which is 2.64 Quarts (so that accounts for a little bit of the extra fluid.)

Was the vehicle front end raised as well - so not perfectly level? That would also allow over filling.

Re: Anyone change out their horn on their Kizashi?

I was trying to get the attention of the driver by flashing my lights behind her. When that failed to alert her, I went by her to pass but tried to get her attention by honking. She could not hear it and kept driving her car without lights while browsing her iPhone. Perhaps she thought s...

Re: Electric/Convinience Mods

Heated mirrors (in Australia) depend on the model spec. Mine doesn't have them. I don't really miss them, but some people would certainly find them very useful.

Don't forget this forum is world wide and those quotes appear to be related to fuel regulations in the North American market. ;)

The link activated by clicking on the "Home" button near the top of the page http://depot.kizashiclub.com/ or it can be accessed here http://www.kizashiclub.com/ . If you come straight into the forum (via a direct link) you won't even notice the difference. It had some links to info pages,...

Re: Push Start

It was my battery.. It was about to explode and leaking fluid!!@!@! I'd suggest taking the new battery out and carefully removing the plastic battery tray (all the acid should hopefully be contained in it). Make sure you neutralise all the acid with a mix of bicarb soda and hot water. Acid will be ...

Yes, that's it. Dead easy to access once the air filter box is removed.

Re: 2012 Kizashi SE - Coolant / heating problem

Perhaps try running your coolant level more towards the minimum level in the reservoir (checked when the engine is stone cold.) I've got obvious signs of the coolant venting on my bottle (see the previous pics) but my engine has never gone above the normal temperature range. It suggests to me that t...
