Re: Still Driving the Kiz

I also haven't posted here in years, but have been lurking recently, curious about how many of us are still driving our kizashi's. My 2012 Sport SLS just broke 100k, so what little resale value was left is pretty much shot! I still love the car, and haven't had to do anything other than scheduled ma...

Re: Kizashi included in list of "11 New Cars to Avoid"

Say what you want about the actual effectiveness of the Kizashi superbowl commercial I love it. It's different, showcases the car well, and has heart/humor. Most car commercials are obnoxious, I wish there were more like this one. I guess similar to owners of this car I'm in the extreme minority! :)

Re: Front End Suspension Knock?

I have noticed a pronounced creaking/rattling around the rear passenger wheel well. I chalked it up to stuff in the trunk at first but I"m also beginning to believe something in the suspension is loose and/or needs lubricating. I have a free 3,700 mi service coming soon and I'll be speaking to ...

Re: Anyone else have issues with OEM tire tread wear?

I know I'm probably in the minority here but I really like the OEM Dunlops. They're sticky as hell, decently quiet, and I think the tread wear issue has more to do with expectations of buyers who formerly drove touring type tires and/or non AWD vehicles. I've had Yokohoma Advan Envigors, Falken Ziex...

Re: Bronx Suzuki Dealership=Super Shady

I'm with you Niterider. From everything I understand there's not much margin and one of the reasons they've pulled out of the US is they manufacture in Japan and the strengthening yen vis-a-vis the dollar makes it tough to be cost competitive. Also, with such low volume I don't believe many of their...

Re: All Cleaned Up 2012 SLS Sport Azure Gray

They really do. I went all out, hand wash and dry, clay bar, buff and wax. Hopefully that will keep the salt and sand from wreaking too much havoc this winter. Just too bad I'll only be able to enjoy it until the first good dose of snow! Love the prussian blue, that probably would have been my first...

All Cleaned Up 2012 SLS Sport Azure Gray

Well we had an unseasonably warm day today in Eastern Maine so I decided to give the car a good detailing before the winter snow starts flying. Here's some pics of her all cleaned up.

Re: if your thinking !!!

Well, therein lies our problem doesn't it? The Kizashi is not much different in size from a Jetta but the Jetta has gone down stream so though a GLI is still a fun, sporty drive and likely big enough it's just not there from a materials and cabin comfort standpoint. It's also gone rather plain and u...

Door Sill Trim DIY

Hi Everyone,

I've found that you can get the metallic door sill trim on amazon for around $100 and the sellers claim is easy to install. Has anyone installed this trim themselves? Any feedback on installing it and if it's something a diy'er could accomplish easily?

Thanks!

Re: Help me watch for name changes

It's definitely an interesting thought. Neither Chrysler nor Nissan has an awd sedan so I could see a rebadged kizashi making sense for both companies given the right circumstances. Let's face it, the Kizashi is a tweener so even companies that have a compact and a mid size entry could potentially a...
