Has anyone done anything with the ECU to improve performance?

I sure everyone (well, everyone with the cvt) has noticed the lack of "holy crap" factor when accelerateing off the line. I'm wondering if the ECU has anything to do with this.

Call me crazy but really like the look, and cost isn't really my issue. However the side impact issue is something to think about

I am contemplating a vertical door kit on 2011 Kizashi. I am on the fence, can't decide whether to do it at all, to do just the front doors or to do all the doors. Any opinions? Anyone have any experience with door kits? Any input is appreciated.
