Re: Creak in center console

My car has had the rattle from the front drivers door window area from new. It appears to be at around 100 kph and I thought it might be caused by the mirror at that speed. I've tried folding the mirror back, but alas to no avail. No amount of pushing and banging of the interior door liner seems to ...

Re: Towbar

Sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the towbar Ron, however the Suzuki, and Hayman one is the only one available in Australia to my knowledge. I just unbolt the gooseneck at the 2 x 5/8" bolts and leave the rest permanently attached Means a bit of extra work when I want to use it, but th...

Re: Towbar

Yes, mine has the removable pin to remove the hitch, too awkward to remove on a continual basis. Left mine connected but removed tongue. I have the trailer plug connected via the "licorice strap" lead and leave it coiled up in the boot, extracting it only when needed. The fixed round plug ...

Re: Towbar

I have a Hayman Reese bar fitted by my son-in-law who fits all car brands "original" bars. He modified the cut out dimensions that is suppose to be done to the underside of the bumper as the specified size was huge. That was to enable the removal of the "hitch's" pin. I leave min...

Re: New Kizashi Owner

Congrat KizAus, our model is a red Touring with CVT too. Like you, we ( missus & I ) took a while to get used to the tranny. I am amazed at the tall gearing. 2000 rpm gives indicated 110 k's....same as a Falcon. Will be going down to get the windows tinted very soon, as our old Pulsar was done.....

Re: Whinning Noise - CVT?

Probably to help insolate the problem try putting it in each gear manually then try it. Note if only individual gear or all.

Re: Key Fob Not Detected message when door opened while runn

In my case if the ignition is in "accessories" position and the drivers door is opened and I get out of the car then try locking the doors a warning buzzer sounds and the display shows "key fob not detected". I then have to turn ignition off ( engine is not running though ), then...

Re: 2012 Kizashi CVT issues

It would be interesting to see what tranny oil other car manufacturers are using/stipulating for their Jatco unit. I would imagine they would be shipped from Jatco dry, leaving it up to the car makers to add the oil. Could be a few issues there if that is the case. Does the LHD cars have the additio...

Re: CVT issues/questions

The tranny has 2 oil coolers...one going through the bottom tank of the radiator and the other is a small air cooled one in front of the aircon condenser, mounted low. Don't know if your model has the warning light if tranny oil gets too hot. There is an light on the the 3rd. row of instrument clust...
