Re: Clutch Replacement

Thanks Ron, that's exactly what we intend to do. Research tells me the most common cause of the break is a weak spot weld that snaps off. The plan is to make that weld a bit beefier before installation. Assuming it won't interfere with the placement at all.

Re: Clutch Replacement

Also the difference between the RHD and LHD version is the brackets themselves. On the LHD version there's one bracket for both the clutch and brake pedal. With the RHD version, for some reason.. they've got individual smaller brackets for each pedal. Yes I am from Australia and have RHD Kizashi

Re: Clutch Replacement

In response to SAEED

Not sure what that has to do with it, I'd assume the clutch pedal bracket in question is an OEM part. I have ordered a replacement through Suzuki's. Nothing after market, although after market would probably be stronger. Apparently it breaks quite frequently on the RHD models.

Re: Clutch Replacement

Update 1.0: Sourced and replaced gear linkage cable, however car would not start still. Every time we attempted to start the car a 15a fuse would blow in the kick panel. Took the car to Suzuki's to diagnose the problem. Update 2.0: The car is now running, the Suzuki dealer had no idea and tried to c...

Re: Key FOB

I'll find out soon enough. Dropped the car at an extremely unfriendly Suzuki dealer to try and have the problem located. I can only hope that at $143 AUD an hour they don't take too long to work it out.

Re: Key FOB

Sorry I should have been more descriptive, yes it was firing. It sounded like it really wanted to start however the battery was flat for being out of the car so long. We attempted it as many times as possible, it was sluggish but turning over no worries. We bought a new battery and placed that in. B...

Key FOB

I recently replaced the clutch in my Kizashi and as such I had the battery disconnected for a few days. Now that I've hooked it all back up the car won't start. It tried to start about 3 times and then I can only assume the immobilizer has activated and now I can't start the car at all. The car is s...

Re: Clutch Replacement

Clutch replacement is done, it was definitely a clutch problem. the clutch was in tatters when we got it off. New dilemma however. When we dropped the gearbox out we had to remove the gear linkage cables. the side one was no problem but the top one had a stupid piece of plastic/rubber holding it to ...

Gear shift linkage cable

Hey guys, Recently replaced the clutch on my 6spd manual 2011 Kizash. Prick of a job by the way, while getting the gear box out I had to remove the gear shift cable from the gearbox. It has a ridiculous sealed black plastic/rubber bush on it that holds it all in place. I didn't have the tool to remo...
