I do not see how magnets could affect the functionality of the CVT. BTW: does anyone know of a mail-order source for the magnets?LPSISRL wrote:So just stick a few strong magnets to the bottom of the pan? They won't ever cause an issue?

Re: CVT Fluid Drain and Fill w/ Filters Replacement
OK, I'm getting ready to do the flush-n-fill. My 2011 SLS FWD had the transmission replaced under warranty at about 76K miles. It's now at 126K miles so it's a bit overdue. It was replaced in 2016 with a new CVT. How can I tell if they installed one from a later year? How can I tell which pan filte...

Re: CVT Fluid Drain and Fill w/ Filters Replacement
FYI:
The pan filter I got (new) is made by Nissan (p/n 31728-1XF02).
The pan gasket is from FelPro (p/n TOS 18755)
I still need to find a suitable gasket dressing compound (I used Hylomar in the past, but is no longer available locally).
Hope this follow-up helps.

Re: CVT Fluid Drain and Fill w/ Filters Replacement
Hi everybody. Following up on this thread: does anybody know the thread pitch of the drain plug? I've used these posts to have an idea on how to do the CVT drain on my '13 SX4. I have ALL the materials needed, but I'd like to change the plug to a magnetic one. BTW: what size is the pan magnet (if an...

Re: 2011 SX4 - First CVT Fluid Drain
I can assume the engine is a J20B. I meant to ask: does the tranny use the same filters, o-ring, and pan gasket as the Kizashi? The local service guys (Nissan) say it doesn't have any filters :? . I disagree because my car has the same secondary housing as yours. Care to shed some light on the subje...

Thanks for having me onboard.
[size=Arial]Hello everybody. I'm the owner of a 2013 SX4 LE w/CVT, looking for information, knowledge and resources. Yes, I know, I'm not a Kizashi owner, but since the cars are similar in so many ways, it is only prudent to have as many sources of info to make the best choices when it comes to part...
