Re: Happy New Year
Shortly after I posted the comment above, I came across articles stating Honda is finally releasing a CR-V Trailsport. Given the powertrains of the CR-V currently available, there is a strong chance the Trailsport will be available as a hybrid. This certainly would be a worthy contender to consider...

Re: Happy New Year
I totally agree that Toyotas seem to largely sell themselves on a perceived reputation. Their actual cars are definitely behind the curve in design, driving experience, and refinement but Toyotas have generally better reliability and definitely a consumer base that believes they are superior as a b...

Re: Happy New Year
I love my Kizashi and I've had relatively good luck with it so far, but after paying a pretty hefty fine for a belt tensioner, I'm starting to think this car doesn't actually match up to what I can do financially if something breaks. Nobody in my area wants to work on this car, I've had one place p...

Re: 2012 kizashi SE for sale
It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s one of those folks who thinks the Kizashi is actually a Chevy, due to their partnership with Suzuki that ended not too long before the Kizashi released. There’s some misinformation on the internet that the Kizashi is more or less a Chevy Cruze (lol), despite how the K...

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!
Oops, I didn’t intend for the videos to embed like that. I had planned on writing the post on computer and uploading the screenshots from my phone. Second pic is zoomed in fwiw. It’s not as obviously a Kizashi without zoom.

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!
I've got a couple of YouTube car review cameos by the Kizashi that I've been sitting on for a while now, just never got around to screenshot the moments they happened. I can't help but wonder how many times the Kizashi has popped up randomly in the background of videos that I'll never see. Oddly eno...

Re: CVT Fluid Issues/Changing
Anything Auto (formerly Jeffrey Wayne), who has done more Kizashi maintenance YouTube videos than anyone else by far, happened to recently upload one on servicing the CVT: https://youtu.be/lVXIbePw7EI?si=NIfZmP0kpcsxRcPq I myself planned on replacing the fluid on my Kizashi, but was too much of a ma...

Re: CVT Fluid Issues/Changing
CVT fluid from Toyota and Castrol are both red. The Castrol is said to be a good fluid in the Kizashi.

Re: Kizashi information
I've used some of the maintenance items like the filters. I also swapped out the splash guard as yours was in better shape than mine. Thanks again for the goods. As for the Euro comparison, interesting that the Mazda3 calls for thinner oil in the US than Europe. That's the opposite of the Kizashi, ...

Re: Kizashi information
Hi Kuro, I hope the stuff has come in handy :drive:. For what it’s worth, the Kizashi isn’t alone in oil grades differing by region. My Mazda’s engine calls for 0W-20 here in the US, but 5W-30 in Europe, I believe. American owners put either of those in their Skyactiv engines, or occasionally 5W-20,...
