Up date on ticking issue CVT looks like it has 5-10 K miles on it! very clean inside no obvious reason for ticking noise. What I found was the output pulley outer bearing had a bad spot on it on the inner race. Had I known that was making the noise the CVT would still be in the car!

Thanks old tech! Another question? When they do go out how does it happen? No go/ parts pieces on the ground/ lock up/ Etc. I need the car for another two weeks to attend a special occasion about 70 miles one way on the highway. The noise appears to have leveled off at this point.

My 2013 SX-4 with 46K miles started making this exact noise, Now with 48K miles it very hard NOT to hear it! It was stated that the problem could be fixed with sending the CVT to n/w Pennsylvania! It was Not stated to who or what exact location? Can anyone offer that information? I already have $900...
