Re: How to install DRL/High Beam LED Conversion Kit
But is the throw that much different, or is it the brightness of the HID low beams? For example, I don't think my halogen high beams "out throw" the HID low beams any more, they are just there to provide light above the sharp projector cutoff. In any case, I don't think I could "outru...

Re: How to install DRL/High Beam LED Conversion Kit
The capacitors work. How do I know? Because the LEDs are now on full power high beam mode in DRL. Doh! :? Well, that confirms that our DRL work by PWM at full voltage, not constant reduced voltage. Not sure I'm getting why you want your high beams to be more focused ... Their whole point is flood l...

No surprise there - it's known that the arc strike takes a fair amount of power, but for a very brief period. This is the main purpose of the ballast.

Re: Let's Figure Out the Headlight Bulb Issue
So, you've got a battery that sits at 12.6V max, and you apply a large load to it.
How exactly do you get a voltage spike in that scenario?

Re: Let's Figure Out the Headlight Bulb Issue
IMHO, too LOW a voltage at the headlight is much more likely the problem based on the itty bitty wiring inside the headlight. So what do you think the root cause of this could be besides a weak battery? Voltage regulator in the alternator? Usually, it is the wiring. Just too much voltage drop. Back...

These things are always hard to describe and understand in writing, but it sounds like ours act the same - mine is Nav so might be slightly different. Tweeters in the door is common stock, but not common on the competition circuit or in high end home speakers. You want the mid and tweet as close tog...
