Re: whine/whirl noise 2012 CVT vids

Trading the Kiz in is not easy. I had a lot of sleepless nights. But I did. Mainley due to the lack of dealer networks in SE Florida and the CVT. I tried looking into a Sport mondel with manual but no dealers on the entire west coast of Florida did not even contact me when I went out for quotes on t...

Re: Seems like bad news for Suzuki

Well traded in the Kiz for a vw Gli. If anyone read the Moter Trend comparison between the Civic Si, Kiz and Vw saw the Vw finished on top. I got a hard 17k for the Kiz SLS with 26k on the od. Will miss the Kiz and the uniqueness but not the CVT and the uncertainty about the future of Suzuki. The de...

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

Blackbet and eatrocks thats for the feedback. Right now the car take off and runs like a bat out of hell when I step on the gas. No more hesitation, delay or what ever just goes like it is not a CVT. God only knows what it is doing to the CVT. I am sure the Suzuki factory rep will figure it out. Man...

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

You may be thinking about the timing belt which is chain driven in the Kiz. Which would be much better/stronger than a timing belt. I believe there are belts in the Kiz CVT; while the Nissan Murano has a chain in their unit and is a much stronger/larger CVT. That being said I am enjoying not having ...

Re: Two month review

Wow. I am averaging over 30 wo/air. with air 28. hwy I have gotten as high as 42 with cruse on, windows up at about 55 mph. Normal around town would be 28.5. averg speed 31. Check your aver speed the lower it is the lower the mileage. Plus run your tire at at 36 lbs to 40 lbs.

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

Thanks for the feedback. I do understand the nature of the CVT. The Murano I drove had a CVT. This model is chain driven as opposed to belt. Their is no downshift or hesitation what so even. Just runs hard out of the gate. This is not a bad thing, maybe even a fluke. Charateristis (spelling) should ...

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

The Murano I had never hesitatied. I beleive they use a chain in that model not belts. The Altima has the CR model wHich has a V-6 and it flys. The issues they have had are in the Sentra and Versa and I think they have the same JATCO as the Kiz. I have an appointment with the Suzuki zone rep in less...

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

Ha Ha. That's cute. Without the hesitation occuring from a stand still the car accellerates much better. But the poor CVT will not hold up in the long run without that hesitation. I going to give them 4 options: repair it, replace it, change it to a manual or take it back. How about a 5th give me a ...

Re: CVT beating the dead horse.

Had my dealer visit today. Ha Ha Ha. They do not have a Suzuki tech so their linc/merc tech looked at the car. He could not find any issues with the tranny. So we took a drive and I asked him why is the car accellerating off the line (no Lag) and feeling like it is trying to shift. Said he drove a 2...
