Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Well, I took it in this weekend to have it looked at and after they bled the clutch, the clutch dropped to the floor and won't come up. So I'm without a car now and they think it could be the master cylinder. On top of that, they also said that a worn clutch would likely mean replacing the flywheel ...

Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Thanks a lot Kuro. I plan to take it to a trusted, local mechanic this weekend to see exactly what it needs.

Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Not really a resolution but I'm still dealing with the issue. During these recent cold mornings, the clutch is much worse and after each shift I have to put my foot under the clutch to bring it back up. Dealer claims that you can't just change the clutch and that the flywheel, pressure plate and clu...

Re: Suspension system question

KYB makes struts/shocks for our cars. look them up on ebay. If youre thinking of lowering the car and getting some good springs, i recommend H&R. theyre amazing Would you happen to have the H&R part number or link for our Kizashi that you used? I've seen a few links now where H&R part n...

Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Thanks for the link. I will check with the dealer I bought the car at and see what price and availability they have first.

Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Well I'm not looking forward to replacing it. Like you mentioned, finding one may be a chore (as all parts for this car have become) and labor will probably be in the $900 range.

Re: Clutch? Flywheel?

Fluid level is fine. I expected the clutch to only last between 75-100k miles because it is my first full-time manual transmission car. I learned everything from double-clutch to hell-toe downshifting on it so I wouldn't be surprised if it is toast.

I will try a 5th gear test after work today.

Re: SUspension aftermarket parts

Do you have a link to the springs at Tire Rack Woodie? When I put in my 2011 Sport GTS they show no suspension parts listed to fit.

Clutch? Flywheel?

For the last few thousand miles my transmission has been slipping out of gear when I give it more than about half throttle. For example, I'm in 4th gear at about 35-40 mph and I downshift into 2nd gear to accelerate. If I give it 1/4 to 1/2 throttle I can accelerate fine in 2nd and gain speed. If I ...

Re: Rear Shock failure issue and TSB & Warranty Repair

I have a 2011 Sport GTS and I went with the KYB rear shocks due to the cost of the Suzuki OE parts. I can't give a very detailed report on how well they perform, however, because I drove for 3-4 months on the worn original shocks bottoming out. The seat of the pants feel while cornering seems the sa...
