Re: LED headlights

I am convinced that on poor weather conditions such as fog, rain or snow, the yellow light coming from halogen bulb will be the best to improve visibility down on the road. Or am I wrong? You are right. I couldn't find an LED that ran the same color as a halogen...either very yellow or way too white.

Had to use vinegar to wash my car! I work near a concrete plant and the dust from it settles on the car and it won't come off with regular soap and water...grrrr! Thinking of applying a ceramic wax...keep getting recommendations from others for it.

Re: Rear shock clunking

Just to share my experience in the US, I just ordered my rear shock top mounts off megazip.net from Japan...even with shipping it was slightly cheaper than the few I could find within the US. This is the first part I've had to source outside the US, everything else I've done so far I've had no probl...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Replaced my low beam HID bulbs last weekend. 7+ years on the original components and the bulbs weren't even malfunctioning. I just figured after 7 years, it was time to retire them and replace with newer and brighter bulbs. I went with 4300K bulbs with a Philips capsule this time. I replaced only t...

Re: O2 Sensor

I agree that is a better practice but you can imagine that 99% of the cars on the road don't follow such a process. For non-car people, it's replace when it fails. Totally agree. I think a lot of people are looking to throw away the car at about the time these kind of problems develop; would rather...

I immediately turned around and took it back to the shop. I live close to my former Suzuki dealer so easy to do.

Re: LED headlights

I'm done fooling with bulbs for now...this is what I settled on. 6000k LED head lights and yellow fogs to help in poor visibility (rain/fog). I just can't bring myself to spend $150+ for reputable HIDs. I tried the cheap ones in a 4300k off Amazon and was sorely disappointed. Maybe there's a way to ...

DIY radiator flush. Nothing terribly exciting but I like working on my car and its another good opportunity to keep an eye on the condition of things. Got Asian Blue coolant online from Autozone, cheaper than anywhere else I could find even with shipping. Most local shops only carry the widely unive...
