Re: Kizashi Insurance Cost

Is yours a sport version? Maybe they just picked up on that?

Mine is about $50 a month, which I thought was reasonable. It's the only vehicle I've ever had full coverage on so I can't compare to anything else, but it was cheaper than other vehicles I had been looking at around the same time.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I recently had my rear bushings and stabilizer links replaced at a shop and I believe they quoted me for 1.25 - 1.5 hours. They did say the bushings were rusted on there pretty tightly.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Excellent to hear you're still having fun with the car. So your whining issue...without digging through a bunch of past posts/threads, any idea how many miles are on your fluid since the last time it was changed? What's the current mileage on the car/trans? I drain/filled it twice in the fall, so o...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

I took it auto crossing again. Was only able to get 2 laps per heat before the CVT would start whining. Got a lot of compliments on it though, and one person actually knew what it was and was pretty excited to see one in person. I got beat by three Fiesta STs and a Civic Si, which on paper I shouldn...

Re: temperature indicator

The first thing I would do would be to reset if you haven't already so that it's only showing what your consumption is and not combining it with the previous owner's travels. Just hold down your display lever while you're on that screen and it will reset it. That being said, I do a lot of spirited d...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Today I had the sway bar bushings and end links replaced. Was also going to have the bar itself replaced since I thought AWDs came with a 15mm bar, but it was already 16mm, which is a little disappointing because I was looking forward to further stiffening the steering. At least now the clunking noi...

Re: 114 Days: Pt III (3rd time's a charm)

I will also vouch for the drilled/slotted set from BrakePerformance.com. I've had them on my car for 3 years, and my only complaint was that one of the rotors got a rusty look on the non contact surface sooner than I would have preferred after about 4 months. Even now it's still not totally rusty lo...

Re: Kizashi Airbag-related Recall

I'm more surprised that they're doing something about it now. I've had mine for about 4 years and the sensor has been wonky the entire time. I know others have mentioned it too. The most annoying was a 4 hour drive a couple days ago when it was constantly switching between sensing something on the s...

Re: bumper attachment to underbody plastic panel

There are 6 screws total, and they should each have a clip. I lose a couple every year, but they always seem tight when I put them in, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say they're shaky.

one question why only rear parking sensor what about front?
I believe kizashi parking sensor has both front and rear together.
it is OEM or aftermarket?
US Kizashis don't have the front parking sensors.
