Re: Kizashi shared platform

I think Suzuki chose the CVT from JATCO for a few reasons including that it was the easiest transmission to source that paired suitably with the J24B engine they were stuck with for production. Also, as you stated, they spent a lot on R&D for the chassis and the rest so the powertrain was somet...

Re: Anyone figured out the XM yet?

I have the Panasonic/Rockford Fosgate HU, not the nav system. Has anyone tried any aftermarket modules yet with this one? I see audiovox makes the harness and module for other Panasonic HUs but am not sure if they will work for the Kizashi. I could really score some brownie points for this one if I...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/224115967078?h ... SwDb5fNJFa - I bought 11 or 12 from this seller (I think, it was over two years ago) -- but cost $44.99 for 11 or 12 of these Tough Guards filters. (AWESOME deal!)

Re: Kizashi Rims

Well, since the overall diameter is 25.0" (vs. the 26.3" that the stockers are) It did change the overall miles the Kizashi thinks it's driving by a tad. But the (inaccurate) dash display used to say around 26-27 (tops!)---now it says 32.6 to 32.8 mpg. ha When I do the math myself --- it's...

Re: Heated Power Seat Installation

Great write up. I recently acquired a 2010 GTS with black cloth and non heated seats. If I purchased a set of leather heated seats, you are saying all I'd need to purchase would be the center stack piece to enable this feature? Very tempting if I can find an interior if so. Thanks! Post some pics o...

Re: Heated Power Seat Installation

Update: I decided to see what I though of the tan seat back shells with the black seats. I'll leave it that way for a bit and decide how I feel about it. Dudddde...that is SOOO cool. I love stuff like this. You put the tan backs on the new black leather-trimmed seats, too!? That looks so cool. And ...

Re: Kizashi Rims

I'm running the Speedline (FRONT) wheels from a C5 Corvette, on the front and rear, at the moment. They weight 17.5 lbs! The car's fuel economy went up like 6 mpg's. Crazy ( In this pic, I actually have the 18x9.5 rears on it...but I just took them off and put another pair of 17x8.5's with 235/45's ...

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Actually, I saw his listing a week ago and left a message. He returned my call yesterday and I think we will be setting up an appointment to repair his transmission. Thank you for keeping an eye out for me..... On the stitching, this is a very strong repair. The best and the cheapest I think. That'...
