Re: 100,000 Miles with my 2010 Kizashi

The shocks are good but I'm going to replace the battery soon. It starts the car just fine but at night when I stop with my brake lights on I notice the headlights get slightly dim. I notice this does nut happen with my Toyota. So now I'm worried that that 9 year old battery is stressing the alterna...

100,000 Miles with my 2010 Kizashi

Just turned 100,000 miles with no major or minor problems!
Just oil changes, tires & filters. Did take to dealer for pulley upgrade. Updated shock mounts myself and placed spider screen over vent hose. Still original brakes shocks and battery.

Honda makes elegant motors.
A little too elegant in the CRV's.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

The issue is that I could very well be found equally responsible as her. In that case, my insurance company would only cover half of the repairs and you can bet that body shop is gonna charge an arm because the insurance are involved. I'm prepared to purchase a wrecked one with an undamaged rear if...

Re: Manual Transmission shift issues? READ THIS!

I think that the reverse issue is related to the fact that reverse is unsynchronized. First is synchronized so it should be smoother and may help "line everything up" as bootymac says. I find that just double clutching can solve this issue for me. Thanks for the double clutch idea. Last w...

Re: How long did your OE battery last?

The 9 year old OE battery has survived the last two months cccc-cold spell without any hint of struggling . Now I'm curious how long it will last. I have had good luck with reviving a few batteries with a BatteryMinder pulse charger. So last month I put a PowerPulse PP-12-L 12V on the battery. It pr...

Re: How long did your OE battery last?

In the past I have always searched for the battery with most capacity that I could fit in the battery space. Eight years ago (about the same time I bought my Kiz) the battery in my Corolla died and I bought a budget battery, with low capacity. I expected to sell the Corolla within a year. The guys a...

Re: How long did your OE battery last?

Electrical gremlin examples? One or two goofy bogus fault type things popping up in the HUD. Been too long (5 years) since anything like that has happened I don't recall. New battery cured it all. Ignition related warnings as I recall...dunno. Thanks. I'll keep a eye out for anything different. So ...
