Re: Hi Kizashi enthusiasts

SLS Sport, specifically, due to the “sport” wheels, more angular bumper, and added side sills. If it has a spare tire under the trunk mat, it’s a 2012; the 2013 models received a tire inflation/repair kit instead. At least in the US. I’m assuming Canada, too, but don’t know for sure. Manual SLS Spor...

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

Well, sh*t. Exactly two weeks after my last sighting, I saw another Kizashi, this time parked directly in front of my workplace (there's a bank down there, so the driver probably was there to use an ATM). I leave pretty late, so again it's dark, and as I'm pulling out of the parking structure, I see...

Re: Trunk Latch Replacement

The loaded SLS Sport AWD Kizashi I saw at the same used car dealer I got my Kizashi from (a year after my purchase) was in great shape, inside and out, but the most glaring flaw - aside from the front emblem missing, - was that the trunk did not want to close easily. I had to really ram it dow...

Re: Suzuki Kizashis used as unmarked police cars in Japan

D'oh! Forgot that Japanese Kizashis were CVT-only. Do you think they were all phased out from police duty? Here in America, some areas have kept the Crown Vic for a while, even to this day. Most marked police cars in my city are Ford Interceptors (Explorers), but there are a good number of Crown Vic...

Re: Suzuki Kizashis used as unmarked police cars in Japan

Do you think they were CVT or manual Kizashis? I wonder if police didn’t know any better about the JATCO than consumers did at first. I also can’t imagine the JATCO faring well under police use, although maybe Japanese police driving is less severe than American police driving behavior.

Re: The Kizashi Spotting Thread!

So my Kizashi spotting counter has been reset to zero days lol. I wonder how long it will be before I see another. Welp, to answer this, last Friday (July 7, 2023) I encountered another Kizashi. Just under a mile from the last one, coincidentally also while I was sitting in a left turn lane (like t...

The giant hockey puck installed into the ceiling of the trunk? Yeah, my 2013 GTS Sport had that (presumably from the factory) lol.

Re: New Tires (3rd set)

TireRack got some Continental SureContact RX UHP/AS tires and are selling them at closeout prices. I was surprised to see them on there, because TR was about the last place they’re supposed to be sold. These are basically ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires for less money and under a different name, or in o...

Re: New Tires (4th set)

Thanks for the feedback. It's quite disheartening to hear that they still have poor on-center feel. I've read that it was a common problem with the DWS06 and was hoping it would be improved with the Plus update, but I guess that is how it is when the tread has no center rib. This may be a deal brea...

Re: New Tires (3rd set)

Did you get an alignment after getting new tires? I strongly recommend this even if your vehicle tracks straight. I need to do this too for my Kizashi as I have not yet since the new Michelins. Pros generally advise alignment after new tires are installed and balanced. Perhaps this can help with th...
