Re: Cheap fix 05 rear tire wear

The toe measurement I listed is within factory spec . The procedure is barbaric but effective . I hear of many trying a professional alignment only to get a “ can’t do it , adjusters are froze” response. Yes the bolt gets froze to the steel sleeve of the bushing but it can still be turned just enoug...

Cheap fix 05 rear tire wear

After years and miles these cars have a tendency to settle in the rear suspension leading to a little more negative camber and also toe out. The toe out causes pretty bad tire wear on the inside of the tire tread. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200223/a1029df0e081f17d343a50a95d3285fc.jpg First y...

Adapting Kizashi for vertically challenged.

I took a 2013 Suzuki Kizashi SLS and adapted it to a girl that was just over 4 foot tall. I made pedal extensions that could be removed and installed easily so family members could also drive it . I made them from old Corolla pedals , carriage bolts, 1/4 inch square stock , nuts and washers from Hom...

Re: Rhythmic clicking sound in very low speed when car first starts

Ive heard this before and I think your cvt primary pulley is starting to wobble due to excessive clearance at the ball and groove. The good news is this can be fixed for $150. The bad news is the tranny has to come out and shipped to n/w Pennsylvania. No one that I know of has gone after this to fix...

What Did You Do With Your Kizashi Today?

Sumitomo, my favorite brand. My wife’s A8 has been rolling on a set of sumitomos for years and still look good . This year they came out with winter tires in most of the common sizes. Sumitomo Ice Guards. it’s such a good deal for a very good tire. I was buying 16 inch steel rims coupling them with ...

Re: Serpentine belt replacement

When changing the tensioner use oem or Febest. The other copies arent worth the risk. Earlier I posted a price for Febest at $34. i was fooled . that was a cheap copy using the name Febest in their listing . The real Febest has a large specially shaped cover on the front of the pulley just like the ...

Re: Serpentine belt replacement

I recommend the complete tensioner . The pivot portion gets tweaked by the leverage of the tensioner arm . This is easy to check the condition of the unit by simply rotating crank bolt counterclockwise while watching from the underside the belt at tensioner pulley. A new tensioner will keep the belt...

Get a Bando brand belt on eBay 6pk1795 . Right now running about $24 . While ordering get a belt tensioner if you have over 100,000 mi. Febest 0790-grv $34

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement Part

A couple things. On the rear calipers, the clock position of the caliper piston slots must be parallel with mounting bolt holes so inside pad alignment nub falls into the slot. Living in an area prone for rust , its important to remove the stainless hardware off the caliper bracket and file the rust...
