Currently, I can offer a 65k mile awd Kizashi trans with screen cleaned new filter and fluid installed and warrantied for 3 months for $1700 and fwd for $1600. I have an Import automotive shop approx 60 miles north of Pittsburgh PA. I know these can be hard to find at times or at least a low mile one so i thought this might help someone . I do have a few . I also have a 2010 awd blue parts Kizashi that I would sell parts off of (front bumper, hood, headlights and fenders are gone) e mail me at gilletteimportautowerks@gmail.com

I live in Pittsburgh, and have a '12 SLS.... w/ CVT. I hope it doesn't go bad.... but if it did- It's great to know you are 60 miles away !

I haven't changed the fluid in my CVT, since I bought it- two years ago with 36k miles on it. I'm at 87k now---- would you recommend I do a drain and fill a few times ? (since the miles are high enough to cause a possible risk of loosening up debris if I were to change the filter, too) ?

What about the rear diff, also?

It would be my recommendation to service the cvt every 30k miles . This would would entail draining, drop pan , clean pan and magnets , pull screen and clean with brake clean. What Ive found is the torque converter lock up clutch is used heavily and puts out fine wear particals that get trapped at the screen. when the screen is near clogged the trans starts doing a straving whine at times . Left go the vital hydralic pressures become inadequate to hold clutches and quickly turns into a boat anchor . I have seen the awd trans reach 210k miles so these things arent awful but I wished Suzuki would have offered the awd in a stick. ( Correct me if Im wrong ,nowhere in the world did they offer it. The fwd Kazashi cvt could be changed over but a lot of rare parts are needed). I use the Valvoline cvt fluid. As far as the cooler filter , id change it at 3rd or 4th service.they stay pretty clean. these can be gotten at Autozone cheaply.

On the rear diff service . this thing would probably live forever without any service but to keep it full , although i would recomend every 100k.

I follow the manual. I dont know what is says about the kizashi AT but every suzuki i owned had 40k between every tranmission oil change. (only had manual transmisdion cars)

i knoe some garages say you actually dont need to replace it

My tranny just went in 2011 GTS....how much would it cost to ship it to RI? Right now the dealer I'm at says the lowest priced on they could find was $2,500. Not sure I will do it, I'm thinking of selling. I really love the car though, I would love to keep her.
