Feeler: Wilwood 350/330mm Brake Setup

I should likely leave well enough alone (this really did turn out stellar for me), but my desire to constantly change things is tough to suppress. Depending on the demand for my old setup, which is pictured, I might try to do this again. Any interest in my current setup if the price point were around $1K?

The skinny on the hardware:
  • - Superlite FSLI front, FNDL rear calipers (Cleared with urethane which makes all the difference in keeping them looking shiny and clean - and keeping caustic cleaners from attacking the aluminum).
    - 350mm fronts and 330mm rear rotors (about 10K miles). (I can dimple them prior to shipping if you dig that look)
    - EBD RedStuff (ceramic) pads all round (PITA to obtain).
    - AN4 lines (Kevlar), fittings (AN4) and adapters (M10INV to AN4) included.
    - All brackets included.
    - All additional bolts/spacers included.
Misc design features:
  • - Increased the rotor dia 50mm at each corner
    - Decreased weight by some 4-6lbs (total)
    - Overall piston/rotor bias maintained (+/-3%) to keep OE performance/safety intact (or close).
    **NOTE: This swap will render your e-brake useless.**
It's a chunk of change on a fading platform, but if it's your thing .. it's a good deal. (As a reference, if Wilwood made a kit like this, here's a glimpse at the cost of one half). This would be completely 100% plug-n-play. I did the math, the fab, and the proving. And judging by the wear over the 10k miles, there's probably another 40-50k left.

I love that stance, one of the best I've seen. If mine weren't still under warranty...

I can't see from the pics, but what size/offset are the wheels and has the car been lowered?

Wheels: VMR model VB3 - 19x9.5 - ET45
Tires: Delinte D7 - 255/35/19
Drop: Yes - Top of fender matches top of tire at each corner (2.75" from fender to wheel O.D.)

I really like that look, but having a manual I need that e-brake. The drop is excellent, what brand shocks/springs?

It's an amalgamation of OE and circle track parts. In short, I made a coilover kit that kept the factory ride compliance intact (or close).

Most impressive! If I had any idea of how to go about doing this, I'd ask for a DIY tutorial. But I won't trouble you with that as there's only a 50/50 chance of me attempting it.

I appreciate your honesty. Send me a mail. It's not tough, but it's not cheap either. However, given the ZERO other options out there, it seemed a reasonable task. (Then again, I look for any reason to do things I already want to do).

Edit: After weighing everything, it's more like 16# savings in total weight.

(I know that was a BIG hangup for the many potential buyers. :mrgreen: )
