I reckon that's the one!
I hope it is, 'cause I am not waiting.
And it is even cheaper!!
Let me buy this guy right quick and get it on the way here.

Looks like it will either fit directly onto the connector or will require the stock cable.
Most likely will require the stock cable as I believe that is usually their goal with these products (so installers don't have to trace the wire down to the plug itself).

The normal PC type USB plug will plug into the aftermarket head unit and the custom plug into the factory wiring loom. So you'll be able to use the centre console USB outlet.

Yep, exactly what I'm looking for.
Hope this is the part.
Email says it should be here on the 6th.

I've just been trying to locate the cheapest way to buy one in Australia. It looks like around $25 delivered - so I might stick with my home made interface.

Dang! Why so much?! Is it that Australia tax once again?
Would it be cheaper for someone to buy it America then ship it to you or will the Post Office gouge me there then?

It's on Amazon, but not shipped by Amazon (so that = big $$$ for freight), the next best option is Ebay.com with the freight being the big cost. Mine's working "as is" so I'll just leave it alone. Google doesn't give any hits for Australian sites.

PS: I'm certain it's the correct plug - check this pic from an older thread:

While we are at it (figuring out connectors and such), does anyone have any idea about a connector behind the head unit (on the stock, rockford fosgate, non-nav unit) that is not connected from factory and the wiring loom that is also not connected? They don't fit each other either.
Is this intended for other functionality, or pre-ran wiring, etc?
Any ideas.

I can take pictures if needed.

Also, have you tried newegg.com? Says they got free shipping, but don't know if to Australia.

Pictures might help, but there are a couple of threads on there with wiring diagrams etc that might have the details? The thread where an Aussie fitted the Garmin head unit into his RF equipped Kizashi would be a good one to check.

I tried that Newegg link - it detected I was in Australia, said "Nil Stock" and "This item is unavailable in Australia"!!!

Well I know this is a super old topic but while trolling the interwebs, I found this thread and was wondering if anyone confirmed if this part works or was a bust. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
