Hi -- I have a 2012 Kizashi with 35800 miles on it. I had a remote start system installed last year.
Has anyone had any issue with their car stalling while driving? My wife was driving home one night and went over a hump on the road (one that would cause the car to lift due to momentum) and the car stalled. The car "Service Start System" light came on, on the dash after, and would not start with the key. I eventually tried the remote start key and it started the car. The next day, I had a similar situation, the dash light came on for a few seconds and the car felt like it wanted to stall after driving over a hump. Any ideas?

I'd almost bet they used crap crimp connectors and one of them is going bad. Sounds like an electrical fault.
I think you are the first one I have seen mention such a problem.

Either a bad third party connection, or a loose factory connector that was disconnected and possibly not properly reconnected by same third party during remote install. Agreed, definitely electrical in nature.Moto wrote:I'd almost bet they used crap crimp connectors and one of them is going bad. Sounds like an electrical fault.

I would take it back to where you had it installed first.
