I have a kizashi 2014 2.4 CVT trying to use the car with no problem when AC is on but when i turn off the AC and idle for a couple of minutes coolant leaking in reservoir because engine is on high temperature. Then i put my OBD scanner coolant temp is 101°c radiator fan still not engaging. What could be the culprit?
Normal function must be around 96°c-100°c radiator fan must be turn on to cooldown the coolant. I think engine coolant temperature sensor if functioning normally or maybe theres a problem on it.

is cooling system building and holding pressure?. After just a few minutes of warm up the top hose should feel pretty firm, if not check rad cap. I change them after 130k miles

Yes had no problem when A/C is on. But when i try to use without AC when at idle. engine gets hot because the fan is not engaging when its on high temperature.

Yes because fan is not engaging when sitting idling without AC. My radiator cap is brandnew. The only culprit is the fan is not engaging when engine is hot
Usually when I have this complaint, pushing coolant out of radiator and overflowing the reservoir it is due to a past event of overheating this could be confirmed with Hydro carbon test. Cooling fan on is requested by engine computer after a bit above the boiling point. The Kizashi relies on a good pressure cab pretty heavily to raise the actual boiling point. How many miles are on your car and have there been any past troubles that led to an overheating event such as a bad tensioner letting serpentine belt roll off?

Exactly already replace the belt tensioner and belt due to the belt was slipped on the belt tensioner while driving. Car is on 90,000km

This is very helpful. I'll observe on my scan tools at this degrees if fan will turn on mid level. My other question what if is not turn on by 102.5 °c what could be the culrpit? The ECT or engine coolant temperature sensor?. Thanks
as oldtech said coolant pressure can cause abnormal situations I just saw your post about 101 C coolant temp and want to remind you that the temperature should be at 102.5 C to turn the fan on.
