I have a 2011 Kizashi AWD and the repair shop tells me I need a new rear shock mount. They said the AWD model and FWD models use a different shock mount part. They were able to find one for the FWD but not the AWD, so I'm on my own.
When I punch the VIN into megazip.net, partsouq.com - it identifies my car correctly, AWD, etc. but then points me to this part, 41913-57L00, which the repair shop guy said is for FWD models only.
I don't have experience looking for parts so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here or perhaps the parts guy at the shop is mistaken?
Has anyone here with an AWD model had to replace the shock mounts?
Thanks!
2011 Kizashi shock mount AWD vs FWD?
I can assure you it is the same part used for both fwd and awd. I would recommend in this case to skip the original and get aftermarket anodized ones on ebay for less than $50 for the pair. Care should be taken replacing these . The 2 bolts mounting this part likes to seize in the aluminum mounting bracket. Sometimes a lot of heat is necessary to remove these bolts and often they pull the threads out in corrosive areas like mine. When this happens I replace bolts with studs and nuts. You really want to remove those bolts without breaking them off because the brackets are expensive and hard to come up with.
Incidentally, incase someone else trips on this, I believe the confusion was caused by a small annotation "without awd" on the part listing at suzukisubaruparts.worldoemparts.com that I've seen nowhere else and based on "old tech"'s comment above is a typo/mistake:
Shock Mount - Suzuki (4191357L00)
Description: Rear shock support cap. Kizashi. Without awd.
