That's what I'm talkin' about. It seems like Suzuki is rather conservative with their fuel gauges.

One more thing, I noticed that the miles until empty never appears to go above 450 miles. To test I filed the tank and immediately started on the miles until empty setting. I instantly got on the freeway and watched the average mpg raise from a low of 11 to a high of 44.3 and then average out around 39. The entire time I checked the miles until empty and it never budged from 450 (until it started to decrease of course.) I know it can increase based on driving conditions. I have seen it raise from 40 miles to 75 just because I put the car in 6th gear on the freeway. Just some things I have noticed over the last 2 weeks.

I think he means the Distance Till Empty readout on the center information display.

I'm guessing the weight of the CVT and AWD are gonna lower your miles until empty (distance until empty) but doing the math 450/16.3 gallons only equals 27.6mpg. At max mpg (31 for the manual) that would put the empty light on at 14.5 gallons or roughly 2 gallons until trully empty if I'm to believe the 450 miles until empty. Thats too much math at midnight. Time to shut down...

2nd tank, 19.1 mpg. Grr... after filling, my miles until empty were 250. My tank took 14 gallons.

I REALLY hope this improves!

My Kisashi (CVT) is under 2000kms old and I must admit that I am very dissapointed with the mileage so far.

My last two cars were Mazda 6 manual and I had no problem getting 8.6-8.9L/100km (that's way we do it down under) and the rated "mileage" for the Mazda 6 is 8.9L/100km.

With the Kizashi the rated mileage is 7.9L/100km but I am only getting about 9.9L/100km!

If this doesn't improve I will be really p***ed off!

That confused me for a second. I was thinking, higher is better! Then I realized what L/110km stood for. Oops.
