Good day,

I have a 2011 Kizashi AWD SLS

I recent had my high beam bulbs replaced and now they are shining at a 45 degree angle upwards. It lights up the top of trees while I drive and does not look like it did prior to replacing the bulbs.

How do I adjust this so they are flush with the low beam lights like before?

There will be beam adjustment screws built into the headlights at the rear. They enable the up/ down and left/ right aiming of the beam. It can take a bit of trial and error to get the aiming right.

Normally the adjustment points are indicated as "L->R" and "U->D" (or something similar) moulded on the rear of the head light housing and a philips head screwdriver is required to adjust them.

Are both your high and low beams, offset? In that case, you can adjust the headlight aim down by using the adjusting screw on the headlight.
The US spec Kizashi allows for Up and Down adjustment, but has a plastic piece blocking Left to Right adjustment.

If only your high beams are offset and not your low beams, then check to make sure the bulbs were installed and seated properly. Also make sure the reflector housing was not damaged in the replacement.

My understanding is that the adjustment screws adjust the whole headlight, not just the low or high beams. If I am wrong about this with the Kizashi, someone correct me, but I think most headlights adjust in the way I described.

I have personally used the screws to adjust my low beams so I know they are not only for the high beam.

Given that you claim that your low beams are aimed correctly, but not your high beams, I suspect an improper installation of the bulbs.

I'll have to open up and look at the bulbs. I took the car back to the shop and the did the screw method and asked if I can see if that would do the trick.... I moved both the high beam and low beam.

I should have just stayed with the stock bulbs.

Did you replace the high beam bulbs to something fancy?
Keep in mind that many aftermarket brighter bulbs run at a high wattage and can cause heat-related problems like melting wires, connectors, and even damage the reflector in the headlight.

Given that the screws adjust the whole headlight and not only the low beams, I suspect that your high beam bulbs were somehow incorrectly installed and that's why they aim too high.

I have a feeling they weren't installed properly. High beams usually twist in but I don't know about on the kizashi.

If they are flipped upside down or are not seated in the guide that would really screw them up. I just flipped one on my saab the other night because it was cold and dark when I installed it. The result was a light pointing into the sky off the road.

Regardless you will probably have to pull the light back out and made sure it is in there properly.
