Does 2012 Kizashi SE AWD have 2 separated AM, FM antenna?

I purchased a JVC KW-NT300 at bestbuy and Geek Squad installation.
I took the car home and check all functions, everything works fine except there is no AM reception. I went back to talk to Geek Squad, the first guy (not the guy who installed my car) said since Kizashi needs antenna adapter that added length to the cable thus there would be no AM reception, and there is nothing we can do about it. I did not believe the guy so I contacted JVC and Metra (antenna adapter make), they gave me some tips,

from Metra:
One thing you need to have them do is make sure the blue wire on the antenna adapter is attached to accessory power instead of the radio's power antenna wire. Sometimes the radio does not have enough current on that wire to turn on the factory antenna

from JVC:
The only other possibility is that your vehicle has two separate antennas one for AM
and one for FM and possibly that the AM was not installed by Best Buy. Some Chevy and Fords have this type of antennas that are spliced together for both frequencies to work.

I went back to Geek Squad, this time I met the guy who installed my JVC, now he said Kizashi has 2 separated antennas and what to charge me $40+ installation and additonal (2nd) antenna adapter for it.

I don't mind paying additonal $40+ to make sure I have AM reception.
Does anyone know if 2012 Kizashi really have 2 separated antennas?

Going from my 2011 Australian model - they're telling stories. You've a single antenna coaxial cable coming into the back of the head unit. Yes, it is amplified (as Metra said) and has a custom shaped plug (so most head units will require some sort of adapter.)

PS: Perhaps there could be two separate antennas, but they're combined into one antenna lead way before the head unit. So it's irrelevant to your problem.
