Can anyone help???
I recently added some LED accent lighting to my headlights. Like the kizzy you see at the top of the Kizashi Club page. When doing this I was new to the car and didn't know which fuse i needed to tap into. Well I still don't know so at the moment I'm tapped into the Headlight Relay. Not what I wanted but it was the only way I could get the lights to work with the stock light switch on the steering column. I want them to work when the parking lights come on but they will only come on when the headlight low beams are on. On to the other issue... After doing this I noticed that my interior foot lights were dimmer than normal and would not turn off. What the heck did I do??? For now I have disconnected the foot lights so I don't lose any unnecessary power. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!! :D

Start by removing the lights you added - before they do some permanent damage! You could wire them into the parking light wires (with a low current fuse for safety.)

I have done many electrical installs in my day and never had any issues. But ive never done one on a suzuki. When I first realized the problem I took the new lights completely out of the equation and the footlights remained on. so I don't believe the new lights are the issue.

I will look into wiring them into the parking light wires with a fuse as well. That was the only other thin I could think of myself.

Did you ever figure out what happened to the interior lights?

I've said it many times...electrical mods to modern cars w/ 3,4,or 5 computers controlling everything is a bad idea. Nothing operates in these cars w/o some computer module directly allowing it to happen. Lights, wipers, locks, whatever. Mis-match something or accidentally short something to the wrong place and you've likely smoked a very expensive OEM sourced only part. Example: The RF amp is a $1200 dealer part.

I believe you Ron. But I can't help but want to make the car my own and I would like to know what the quirks are in the electrical systems. I do wish things were as simple as the samari. Still love those. :drive:

If they'd publish the schematics of all the black boxes, you'd have a decent chance of interfacing w/ them. It is unfortunate that everything is so locked down anymore.

The Kizashi is pretty basic for a modern vehicle. My father inlaw recently bought a Citroen Berlingo and had to get a special interface installed for the trailer light wiring. They must use multiplexed wiring for the lighting and it blew the towbar installation out by a full day!

Wait until lights are fibre optic--try wiring into that! :o
