I have an annoying creaking sound that just started. It's coming from the left side of the shifter. Does anyone know if this console just snaps together or is there a screw I can tighten? Thanks

the piece around the shift knob snaps into place, the pieces on the side are screwed on, i think its like 2 screws are each side when u remove the piece around the shift knob

Do you know where I should un snap that piece from? I don't want to force anything and break it.

Is it the silver piece alone, or the silver and black piece?

I've also been having a squeaking noise coming from my dashboard, kind of behind the instrument cluster, since I got Azumi in March. I've been too much of a weeny to try and get into the dashboard and figure out what it is though.

Is anyone else having creaking/squeaking going on in their respective Kizashi(s)?

Yeah, it is pretty well documented in other posts. Lots of people seem to have this issue...my creeking comes from the piece that is just under my NAV display...I am not sure how to get rid of it either...it is more prominent in the winter when the car is cold and the plastic shrinks. The heat in the summer makes tighter I think...

Does anyone know how to get the black piece of plastic off around the shift lever?

If it's a manual trans then it clips in place. CVT - I've got no idea.
