Big Brake Kit for the Kizashi?

So someone is selling a Rotora kit that fits on the sx4 on clubsx4.com. Any chance this might work on ours? I know the rotors will fit, but what about the caliper mount points?

I doubt very much if they would fit. Suzuki bragged quite a bit about the brakes on the Kizashi being designed by Akibono, never heard any such thing said about the SX4.

RRM has a Rotora big brake kit:

Yeah, the RRM kit uses a different sized rotor and I'm sure the caliper mounts are different. Oh well, someone can have a killer brake setup on an sx4 for cheap.

SamirD - are you having trouble containing all the power with the stock brakes? :)

(I wish that was the case with the Kizashi!)

lol! Not really, but I'm a real stickler about braking. I want it crisp, strong, and powerful enough to activate abs even with good traction tires.

Most of the times this means a reduction of 15mph at highway speeds in one second. The best braking system I've driven could do 25mph+ in one second.

I think the Kizashi just needs a good brake fluid flush as it looks like the factory original. A good bleed and flush with Castrol SRF should do the trick. If not, it should be good enough for my wife--it's her car anyways.

Brake fluid and decent pads should sort it.

I think the pads even must be fine. Akebono made the stock setup for the 94 Accord and while the rotors were quite undersized for the car, good Honda (Akebono) pads make all the difference.

I'm surprised you have issues with the brakes...I've done enough hard braking in the Kiz to activate the ABS on numerous occasions. Dry conditions.

I think just a brake bleed will do it. The factory pads seem pretty nice.

Oh, I don't have any issues with it, but I haven't pushed it yet either. I can just tell there's some mushiness right now, which judging by the fluid, is because there's 2011 factory fluid in there--two years old DOT3 isn't going to be that great a fluid.
