Azumi did the same thing to me this morning. I went to start my Kizashi, and it turned over just fine. About 15 seconds after I started her, the "Service Start System" message popped up in the instrument cluster. I immediately turned off the car, and tried to turn it back on. When I went to tap the button, the starter only cranked once, and the engine didn't start. To get the car to turn over, I had to hold the Start Engine button for several seconds in order to get the starter to ignite the engine.IshaanIan wrote:A couple of days earlier, when I started my in the morning, it threw this up on the MID "service start system". This hasn't come up again so far but I'd like to know why it came up then and if there is anything I ought to do about it :/
I tried this a couple more times with no difference, and couldn't find any useful info about the message in the owner's manual. I could still start/drive the car though, so I decided to just head out to the car wash and ignore the instrument cluster. But within 60 seconds of driving away from my apartment, the warning message went away and hasn't come back yet. Azumi only has 23K-ish miles, so it seemed like it was a little soon for the starter to be going out.
I wasn't plugging anything into a cigarette lighter when the warning came up, so I'm not sure what happened. Just wanted to get this out there in case anyone else gets this warning message on their Kizashi, then it suddenly goes away.
