About a week ago the temperature drop really low and we had a lot of snow one night. The next morning I woke up and let my car warm up for almost an hr because it was do cold out and drove to the store which is less than .5 miles from my home. My car worked perfectly fine the night before but when I got in and started driving to the store. ..Every time I put my foot on the gas my service engine light came on and then when I took my foot off it went off! The car also felt like it was sputtering. It did this the entire way to the store....I was a little worried so while I went in the store and left it running hoping that it just needed to warm up some more but it did the same thing back home. I didn't drive it for the rest of the day.
This next day I started it to let it warm up so I can go to work and the moment the car came on the service engine light came on and never went off. The car is still sputtering and it feels like it doest not want to move at all...I pulled it out of my driveway and backed back in and it felt like I had to put a little extra just to get it back in the driveway. This was almost a week ago and the service engine light is still on and it is still sputtering.
Does anyone know what's wrong with my baby!?! It's supposed to snow again in a couple days and I need to get her up and running ASAP so I can get to and from work. If anyone have any experience with this please help!?
service engine light and sputtering. what is wrong with her!
Yeah, there is likely an error code causing the light to come up, so you'll need to have the code read with an OBDII reader. After you find out what the code is, then you can come back here and those of us who have downloaded the service manual should be able to tell you what is causing the error code.

How cold is cold? Ie is fuel line freezing a possibility?

Generally, when posting about car problems on a car forum, you need to state the following:
- Model year
- Trim
- Engine type (N/A with our cars)
- Transmission type
- Mileage
Also helpful is your location.
Given your car is throwing a CEL (Check Engine Light), have that read as others have stated. Many auto parts stores will read it for free. Take down the code and what it's diagnosing.
Best of luck.

it is a 2010 kizashi. and the mileage and temp at that time is shown in the photo. the temp did drop lower into the teens that night so I'm not sure. I don't know much about cars so this is driving me crazy that I was fine one day and then the next I cant even drive it. I am going to get my uncle to hook the computer up to it today to find out what's wrong.
As a heads up, most actual CEL issues are sensor failures (I say 'actual' because the most common thing that sets them off is a loose gas cap). Given your car is not running well, it's a real issue. Sensor failures can also cause the ECU to run the car in limp mode and/or shut off certain things to prevent further damage.
I'm also not convinced the outside temperature was to blame. It's around the same where I live and the car starts a little slow (original battery), but runs good.
Also, automatic or manual transmission?
