This thread is to discuss potential ways to disable the DRLs on the Kizashi. It is for technical discussions only and NOT why we should or should not disable the DRLs.
Background:
- The DRL system uses the high beam bulbs at a lower voltage
- The DRL system is controlled by the "DRL Control Module (E254)" located below the dashboard
- The DRLs turn on when the hand brake is released and the engine is on
- The high beams are also powered by the DRL Control Module

The DRL Control Module has 7 pins/wires:

So pin 3 on the DRL control module (the pnk/grn wire from the BCM) might be the trigger that activates the DRLs. I believe that disconnecting this wire will disable the DRLs. While there isn't any information specific to the Kizashi, the following threads seem to support this theory:
When I have time, I will try to see if this method works. In the meantime, please discuss or share your thoughts.

I also found another method here that might work for the Kizashi. I will test it shortly and report back.
DRL is controlled by BCM which has a function to set operable / non-operable mode of DRL. With a new BCM, its DRL is set to the non-operable mode. Therefore, when BCM has been replaced in the country where DRL operation is required by the statutory regulation, set DRL to the operable mode according to the procedure described below. Also, performing the same procedure when DRL is in the operable mode will change DRL setting to the nonoperable mode.
1) Turn ignition switch to ON position.
2) Perform Steps a) through f) described blow within 15 seconds after Step 1).
a) Turn lighting switch to CLEARANCE position.
b) Turn lighting switch to OFF position.
c) Repeat Steps a) and b) five times.
d) Turn lighting switch to HEAD position.
e) Turn lighting switch to OFF position.
f) Repeat Steps a) and e) five times.
3) After Step f), buzzer sounds twice which indicates that DRL has been set to operable mode.

Why not bypass the DRL module? eg. connect BLU/BLK to WHT/BLU and RED/YEL to WHT/RED.
It could possibly be done by unplugging E254 and using jumper wires in the plug eg. jumper pin 1 to 8 and pin 7 to 14.

Success! I've disabled the DRLs. Here's the DIY guide:

How many times did you try? It took me almost 6 times to get the TPMS relearn to work, and it is waaaay simpler than this.

How many times did you try? It took me almost 6 times to get the TPMS relearn to work, and it is waaaay simpler than this.
Maybe four times at most. I wasn't keen on turning my HIDs on and off so many times

I should try this while both my low beams are out.
