Rattle in B Pillar

This past week, I started hearing a rattle that seemed like it was coming from the driver's side B Pillar, right by my head. I had a passenger sit in the back and they agreed that it seems to be coming from there. I have no idea what triggered this, as it just started immediately one morning despite not doing anything the previous night. It sounds like plastic and is persistent over even the slightest imperfections in the road.
I tore the trim off this morning to have a look, but I couldn't identify anything that might be the culprit. The only thing that seems to be in there is the seatbelt mechanism, and I have tried holding it in place while driving to see if that would make a difference but the sound still persists. My new theory is that it is either in the headliner or somewhere else, and only seems like it is coming from there because the sound is traveling through the opening for the seatbelt.
Has anyone experienced this or have an idea of what it could be? Having a constant rattling noise right next to my ear is a sick form of torture that I would not wish on anyone.
