Got in my car this morning and when I push the start button it just clicks. Lights still turn on. Doesn't seem like a battery issue.

It still is likely a battery issue. Try jump it and see if it starts. The lights turn on because they require much less power to operate than to start the car. If a battery reads a voltage below 12 volts, it's likely not going to start a car reliably.

Well I got it started. I just held in the start button and it took a little bit but got started. Going to get my battery checked today and replace if necessary.

Good to hear. Is it the original?

The Kizashi seems to go through more batteries than my other cars in the past. I'm on my third battery already at 7 years and 131K. Must be a combination of the car and the Texas heat.

Does it say Delkor on it? If so, that's the original.

Just replaced the OEM battery in my 2010 last fall. Roughly 110k. It hadn't even failed I just figured 6.5 years was enough. The battery should have a date either in code or plain writing on a sticker or branding on it somewhere that shows it's manufacture date. Batteries are only good for 3-5 years or so. Modern cars will do some weird stuff when batteries start going out. My diesel pickup which has 2 batteries stopped recognizing the chip inside the key and would not start. It would start with the remote starter but as soon as I put the key in the ignition and turn it to run, it would shut off and say "Starting System Fault". All it was was one battery starting to go bad. Those batteries were OEM as well and almost 6 years old.

Yes it did. I got it tested and it was bad replaced with a Duralast from autozone that has a 5 year warranty.
