The air intake control module got faulty this past week and had to order one today. My question is: where is it located under the kizashi hood exactly? Has anyone else replaced theirs and have experience ?

Do you mean a Mass Air Flow sensor? These are located in the intake directly behind the air box that contains the air filter for the engine. If you remove the intake hose after the air box, you will see a sensor that protrudes inside the intake. That's the MAF sensor. Keep in mind that many "errors" with this sensor simply necessitates a cleaning to fix. Clean it first and if that still doesn't resolve the issue, then replace it. As for cleaning, make sure to use an appropriate cleaner so you don't damage the sensor.

Yea the throttle body wound up being dirty and simply needed cleaning after all.
